I think a few hundred thousand of these lithe exotic creatures running around in the wilds of ND could be fun.......

As long as you make sure they don't have Adam's apples before you turn them loose ! It's a lot like sexing a pheasant .

Those heavy necklaces are to conceal their Adam's apples.

Don't import them from California and your chances go down of them having an apple.

You need to come to the next Jedi tourney but beware of the wrath of Sandy if you take a trophy !
The crazy thing is that is a wild pheasant. Red jungle fowl to be precise. Obviously we didn't change much after we domesticated them.

As for elk they were a planes animal before the white man got here. But don't worry there are expanding groups allot closer to that area then most would think. Plus there was a cow moose that would feed out in the flats below them everyday this fall then at sun up head for the marsh north of the ramp.

I kinda always envision a herd of wild buffalo coming over a rise when I'm hunting in the cuteau region...would be cool if there were a few of them big sumbitches around.

i How about these.......in the wild, not living in town.
Had one in my backyard for a while. Then I found a pile of feathers in the garden one day. I had to laugh when my wife called me one day and was screaming "there's an orange chicken in the back yard!"

There are still some Elk that occasionally move through the river bottoms around Bismarck. A buddy of mine found a nice set of sheds a few years back, and another buddy of mine had a 5 x 5 on his trail cam a couple years ago. The amount of Moose moving through the river bottoms is also a lot higher than what most people realize.

Other then maybe the natives you would think they would do well south of the lake and a few spots on the north end like grahams island and want not. I wonder if they could make it along the Missouri as well.

That ones probably not going to happen anymore. Game and fish tried it a number of times out west and it just never worked. Maybe there is a better way of doing it that they now know but if not them we are probably out of luck.
