Evidently 84.46% of the voters had an interest in the measure passing so It's a done deal , nothing much to argue about.

It probably doesn’t feel great for the families taking their kids to these places that they have to explain that they aren’t “dumb”. Or that someone otherwise healthy needing an rx for bipolar or ptsd is hesitant to go somewhere “for the mentally ill” since that has the stigma of “crazy. The school names are in the ND constitution which is why it required legal language to change them.

In the end it has no bearing on your life, cost you nothing except maybe a new sign or two and a letterhead. But keep your chests puffed out and collect your NDA tough guy points.

No one is/was being harmed by old timey language in the state constitution.

This is an emotional feel good measure. It hadn't been affecting anyone directly - other than some warriors who read the constitution and got worked up about the old phrases that have gone out of fashion.
