^^^^There is controversy. Some say it was a non-sense track like BTO's "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" which was saved:

Sorry guys I voted yes of course since I believe that north dakota should be the ones to decide what the people should do. Hopefully trump will keep his promise and force the federal government to change the schedule to a 2 or 3. Until then north dakota will continue to oppose it because like it or not we are a population of conservatives who believe in the rule of law and no one wants to worry about the federal government.

On a personal note my plan is to open my own growery once the laws are changed but right now I'm not prepared for this. 2025 is going to be huge for me personally and I don't want to get into too much detail quite yet.

might have passed if that dipshit wasnt being paid to scare and lie to so many impressionable people... I didnt figure it would pass, with our current political environment, people arent in the mood to experiment with major changes.

I agree, had the same people who were able to get 60+ percent of the population to agree with medical purposes had the same game plan with recreational. At the end of the day I still believe north dakota is too ultra conservative to allow recreational use to be allowed in our small town communities. Let's hope that the federal government makes the right decisions to relax the laws now, so that we can get the state to see that money can be made that can be beneficial for all of North Dakota.

Guywhoshares what did you think of the measure and what is your stance on the mj. I know you have talked about it on other sites as well as this one and forgive me if you have already.

I pretty much overdid it as a youngster.

I'm lucky it didn't push me to harder stuff. It sure did some of my friends/classmates IMO.

I feel like it stunted my social life. You find yourself hanging out with others of the same cloth and that's a BIG hamper on developing a wider perspective on life.

It also might also have effed up my organizational and math skills. I was put in advanced classes in 6th grade and did well - but quickly lost interest after "having fun" became more important. By the time I got to graduate school I had to have a tutor for calculus, etc. WTF

So I get weed. I get the pros. I get the cons. Like anything else in life it's a double-edged knife.

I actually skipped that measure on the ballot because I'm so squarely on the fence that I can't decide one way or another. So I chose stay out of it and let the more decisive / interested decide.

I'm kinda glad it got shot down, but solely because I don't want to smell that crap every time I'm out in public for the rest of my days. 🥴

I'm also an ex smoker that also was on the fence but as a future entrepreneur I would love to see mj available for everyone who wants to use it. What people don't understand is that mj is really popular with the blue haired community, just ask bbj if he know any users. The issue is not everyone wants to be placed in a category that you find with getting a mj card, it's hardwired in our brains to think mj is bad for everyone and with that the lack of information that's readily available for people is limited by those that many people look to for that information.
I would never go token again since i believe that the overall benefits of the green stuff goes up in smoke and the overall benefits of the green stuff is more effective in consumption.
So for me mj has many benefits that many in our state don't see for whatever reason. It will happen sooner then later I believe that trump will keep his promise and make it a state decision.

Also - every time I smell weed during the day I know that it's likely because someone is "in bondage" to needing mj to cope or to "have fun" - like I once did.

That's depressing as hell. Just like seeing the same guy parked at the bar every night when you drive by. Breaks your heart for them.

Yep I agree, the good thing about education and stringent laws making the rest of us safer the consumption of alcohol has dropped significantly in the last 20 years. Less and less people realize that consumption isn't worth the headache if you have to deal with the law. Or it could also be that more people are taking ssri or similar to cope with life. Mj even in states that are legal for everyone isn't going to go up unless restrictions as far as age is changed or population growth. I believe that overall consumption of mj will continue to go down as people begin to realize that heavy use isn't a healthy lifestyle. The fact that people are token indoors is against the law just like cigarettes and if someone would have called the manager or front desk. Guywhoshares like me you are old school and don't want to cause unwanted attention on yourself/family and deal with the situation since it's a temporary problem. Unfortunately for me I'm like Jerry the mouse who loves the smell of some good 🧀

Doesn't break my heart at all.

Everyone has the choice to NOT do something.

If you can't or won't or don't want to, that's on you.

Nobody is forcing your hand.
