I gave up my gigantic garden when I moved, but have a little spot at the new place for a few pepper plants.
Habenero, and jalapeño plants will be all for me, farmers market for all my other salsa making vegetables

so i think i figured out where we went wrong... Turns out when using those setups that i mentioned before, as soon as you start seeing sprouts, your supposed to remove the "greenhouse cover" and leave them open to atmosphere.... basically I think we actually drowned them.... round 2 now.... probably a little bit late, but dammit i'm determined to grow some plants... planted another batch of 30 of the super 100 cherry tomatoes and also planted 30 sugar snap peas. guess time will tell whether i still suck or not haha

My spring garlic last year was a bust. I fall planted but it was probably early October. Might have to try later.

What is everyone using for their garlic varieties? Where are you sourcing it from? Not much for local options here.

Going to sow in the carrots tomorrow night.

I am limited on space so I am thinking of doing most of my herbs in planters or pots. Any advice on growing in planters?

Well you got part of it right anyway. Shortly after sprouts pop up move them under lights. About two inches. Keep them damp and warm. I don't use cells with tomatoes. I start seeds in cheap flat containers. After the plants form true leaves I gently replant them in a 8 Oz cup. Easy to label them that way. Fertilize half strength every 10 days or so. I do drag my plants out in the sun when I can. Gradually. Too much wind and heat can be a disaster.

I'm not so sure about starting peas indoors, they can be started early in the ground. You can put the seeds in between damp paper towels for a day to speed up germination. Anyway good luck.

Built an elevated garden of sorts and planted before the rain and cold showed up at least it didn't get below freezing here. Early I know but decided I'd take a chance. Planted asparagus, cukes, peas, beans, lettuce, carrots, zucchini, squash and a couple potatoes. Broccoli, lettuce, and peas are poking through and needing to be thinned a bit. Hopefully the others follow soon if not I have plenty of time to try again. Tomatoes and green peppers I'm going to let someone else start and I have a couple half whiskey barrels that worked pretty good last year for them.
