Are magnets bad to have around ice flashers?

Had an idea for a flasher, but it involves magnets. Is there any adverse affects on a flasher from having a magnet to close to it?

No problem. For instance, Ahab is a big walleye magnate and he doesn't interfere with his own flasher so yours should be safe.

Won't let me post a link, but the magnet is the kind used as a base for dial indicators.

Not sure what kind of magnet this is. It won't be directly in contact with the ducer, cords, or face of the unit.

I use 3-4 magnets to mount GPS receivers and they are rated for 90lb a piece and we have never had any problems, DO NOT get your fingers in between those.
If you are looking to use them on the bottom of a carry case you should be fine.
