Ashtabula ice conditions?

How thick is the ice at the crossing? Are trucks driving down to the creek now? How much snow is on the ice?

What about Hobart and some of the other lakes around VC/Sanborn area? How are the accesses?

I was out last week (before cold snap) and ice was about 10" at Sundstroms. Not quite as thick on the smaller lakes in that area. Some really crappy ice on some of the smaller lakes. Top 3" was really terrible. Again -- that was before the cold snap. Not a ton of snow, so I would think they're all at least 12" by now.

I'm sure the crossing bait shop would give you all the info you need on the crossing ice conditions.

I measured 8.5 inches in the channel by Kuders Bay on Tuesday.
