Wonder how a 6.5-300 Wby would be. Was at Scheels one time and saw a box on the shelf so opened it up to look at them. Holy Sheep Dung

I really enjoy mine, sighted in for 300 with 127 LRX, it takes allot of guess work out of most hunting situations. They said that about my stw also "barrel burner", that was 30 years ago.. Still my go to most seasons but this 6.5-300 is starting to grow on me.

Nope. I have a few short mags and a 6.5-300 Weatherby. To me the faster the better. I'm not a long range guy and only shoot out to 400 yards if I have too. Also not a guy that spends hours at the range.

I never pay attention to short magnum cartridge's off the shelf availability till this year my buddy was looking for some more and we had a heck of a time finding anything 300wsm. Have sort magnums started to become that obscure? Also know another guy looking to sell his 270wsm as he doesn't really hunt anymore and when I told him I wasn't that interested partially because finding ammo has been difficult (even though I also reload) he said that was another reason he was selling it

I have a 300wsm that somebitch is load and roars. I remember back 15 years when the rage started on them.
