I've heard some god things about the new lithium ion knives. The rapala and the Berkeley specifically. Anyone have any experience with either that would shed some light on which is better. Thanks in advance for the help.

I have had the Rapala Ion for over 1 year and have had no issues with it…holds its charge well and recharges quickly…my only complaint is the old cordless blades do not fit in it…without some modifications that are on my things to do list…

The berkeley knives are junk. I purchased a rapala lithium ion this spring & love it. They aren't cheap but scheels had them on sale for like $40 this spring & i finally broke down & bought one. Have cleaned well over 100 fish this year so far & charged it once.

I have the rapala Ion and love it. I haven't run out of battery yet, plenty of power. I just be sure to recharge it after every use.

No need for imo. I always can run my cord and have inverter that runs it if I can't.
