i have had a discover card for years that i use fairly sparingly... was looking at the cabelas visas today, and wondering what you guys think of their program...

what is the best awards program with a credit card you have found, and what's the worst, in regards to actual rewards...

discuss...

Capital One Venture card, Gets me about 1500 bucks worth of free travel expenses covered yearly, good trade for the 89 buck a year fee for the double point system since I use it for more than 90% of all my purchases including monthly bills.

My wife and I like to do annual 11-12 day vacations and it covers the majority of all travel related expenses for the trips.

I would look into the cash back cards if not for this one so one could use it for anything one wanted and not be tied to a single store.

Citi Double Cash card was just on TV. It pays 1% with purchase and 1% for every payment dollar. 2% Cash back with no annual fee is the best I have found out there.
