These hoses suck when they get cold because they are so stiff. Has anyone had a hose made with the quick disconnect with a better quality hose that actually flexes in the cold temps? Where would you get something like that made at?

I had the local Cenex make mine. Much softer hose material that is much more forgiving in the cold. For the end that connects to the tank, I went with the outside/larger threads connecting to the tank that goes on/off my hand (not the MR heater, fine internal threads that require an adjustable wrench. Make sure the end that connects to the heater swivels. It was cheaper by about $5 and I have a much better product.

yes, that is the one. I'm in the process of trying to find someone in the GF area who can make me a better one.

or cut the ends off with an inch or two to spare - and replace the hose - use the original hardware

U don't need a filter with the new hose supposedly. My old one is flexible.

I bought a refill adapter and fill off a bigger tank... truly portable and 2 of the smaller bottles last me all day without the hassle of the tank and hose...
