i too don’t see duke losing if they play the way they can play. I think looking at that side Florida state is scary for one their a conference opponent and 2 they are scary athletic maybe not the best basketball players per say but just athletic dudes. UNC has a tough draw without a doubt but like you said they play like they should shoot avg and clean up the boards they should be sitting along with duke in the finals but I don’t trust that Italian coach from Kentucky . I don’t buy or ever buy Virginia. I don’t care what their regular season record is in the ACC they don’t score enough when it matters to win. People can post all the stats they want Virginia will not win it all. Period. It’s gonna be one of the 6 teams that win it ever year look back at the last 20. Duke, UNC, Nova, UConn, Florida, Kentucky , Kansas have most of not all off the top of my head .

It tastes terrible . Haha . Virginia won and congrats to them . But even a Virginia fan would admit luck was on there side the right teams lost so they didn’t have fierce competition. They never faced a 1 or 2 seed entire tournament and got to play auburn and Texas tech in Minneapolis. And got tons of help from the bb gods and officials . But good to see new blood win it congrats to them

A person can say Virginia had an easy route in the bracket and never had to beat anyone. Perhaps not, but they had to beat someone who beat someone. Tournaments are won by a team who played well when they had too.

Oh, by the way, all this knowledge comes from someone who is not a passionate BB fan. Did watch NDSU play, just because they are from ND and part of the final game. Throw in a couple minutes here and there in all the other games and that was my NCAA tournament. Watched far more of the NCAA Wrestling tournament.

Look at the teams Auburn beat....Kansan, North Carolina, Kentucky, and then lost to 1 seed Virginia in a close close game, with a questionable call. Had they beat another 1 seed Wow, what a run.

I did'nt think Virginia had it in them either. Was pulling for Tech then kind of switched throughout the game. Mich State was only team I had in Final four.

virginia without a doubt had a little luck on their side but honestly every run to a championship has some luck, some fortunate calls, and the ability to win the close ones weather it be luck, blown calls, effort or a combination of all the above.

A good not great Kentucky team a good not great Unc team and a Kansas team that was worst they’ve had in 15 years due to injury and suspensions. But auburn blew it against Virginia . 4 point lead with 8 seconds to go you should win.
