I have some good ol stubborn water spots on my Lund aluminum boat and on the Mercury, looking for ideas on what you guys are using to clean those water spots off. Getting ready to sell it and would like it shining like new again.

Vinegar and a wax after, acid in vinegar will strip wax. Bass boat saver after pulling out of water, on Devils Lake I do not think you can do anything about water spots.
Devils requires a vinegar bath, wash, wax.
Bass Boat saver will keep your rig looking good on most trips I you use it on the lot after the ramp. It only takes a couple of minutes.

The works is guaranteed to work. And its pretty cheap. Where good gloves and use it in a well ventilated area.

sorry but wax is not soluble in aqueous solution - even acidic - vinegar cannot harm wax

guywhosafreakingchemistrygeek is right.

I use a lot of vinegar around my place. Buy the gallon jugs at Sams and Wallyworld, everything from countertops to boats.

p.s. If you have grease on your motor, I suggest Krudcutter. Available at Menards, EXCELLENT stuff for greasy things.

I've been wondering about "The Works" toilet bowl cleaner. Have heard a lot about it. Does this damage your clear coat?

I'm sure you got the hint by now but I thought I throw my experience in too. Vinegar does wonders. Not just pickling!Thumbs Up
