I bet when he cracks that baby wide open, you can hear the gas being sucked out of the tank!!;:;boozer

Can you imagine filling that up the 2nd time. The first fill, you're all excited to go out and open her up; not caring about the gas consumption. The second time, you're running at idle speed every where you go.

If one can afford a boat with $150K++ worth of engines alone I don't think one would have any worries about the fuel bill.

Trust me, the boat ramp in most of this conversation is quite popular with the blueplate special crowd this time of year. I know last year there were several outings down there where there were more blueplates than locals. Not sure if they've made it out here just yet, but they were here for early soft water last year.

We're in the same boat in Mn,its amazing how many folks come here from nodak to fish every summer, over 20k tags sold on avg, most have summer cabins here in western Mn.

The cost of a persons boat or the brand, or style, or how big his locator screen is has zero bearing on his ability to operate his machine, or his niceness with it.

I am an average ND'r and fish out of a mid level boat, my millionaire buddy does too, a spendy boat sure does not signify wealth, or ability to fish/boat/and otherwise knowledge of ramp etiquette

Its when a guy gets an expensive boat and thinks that makes him better than the rest is when the problems start.

I have tried to live my life by the motto: its nice to be important, but more important to be nice.

I forgot another pet peeve that I am sure some of you guys have encountered, the asshole at the cleaning station that has a table full of eaters and thinks he is suddenly a pro fisherman and acts like a tool with the small talk. Guess what jackass they are just fish, and you are still a douche.

I love (sarcasm) the smack-talk at the cleaning station too. I was at the station at Minnewauken a couple of years ago, waiting my turn to clean fish. Watching a guide clean a pile of fish while his customers looked on. He was trying halfheartedly to sell me his beat-to-hell boat and not wanting to be a douche, I just said "I don't have room for a 20 ft tiller in my garage". He said "get a bigger garage, you pu$$y".

Real impressive. I think his elderly male and female clients thought he was a super hero.

makin' me crazy. Going from south Bismarck to North Mandan - on the Expressway. People drive in the passing lane, because they're going to need to be in that lane, 7 MILES DOWN THE ROAD. Nuts.
The road is only 3 1/2 miles long with only one long stretch were you don't have cars merging or exiting in the right lane and that's the stretch where everone is coming up to speed. Simply put the left lane is not a passing lane it's a through lane.

Went to Bismarck Saturday, on the way home we had to stop at the last stop light north of town. There was like 20 cars side by side waiting for the light to change. Light turns green, and the titty sprinkles two leading cars drive titty sprinkles side by side at titty sprinkles 65 mph for like titty sprinkles 15 miles:mad::mad::mad:. Titty sprinkle assholes. For those of you that do shit like this, I hope your titty sprinkle tires fall off!! ;:;boozer

Usually that's one car has their cruise set and the other is drifting forward and back but never enough to pass. I had one do that to me on the way to Bismarck last Friday. Cruise had been set for ~40Mi boat in tow, lady speeds up and pulls across my front bumper twice when a car is in her lane. I seriously considered slowing down when I finally got past her and got next to a semi but decided it wasn't worth it, left the cruise set and whistled my way West.

I guess my post must have hit someone the wrong way. Thanks for the neg rep stranger. Maybe I'll start getting mad at people that get to close to my ranger, tarping the boat halfway up the ramp, and troll right next to shore fisherman.

Welcome to owning a Ranger and having random people pissed at you because you drive a sparkle boat. I had a lady at a gas station get pissed at me because I wouldn't tell her how much I paid for my boat. She asked 3 times and finally I told her it took 20 years working to be in the position to purchase something I have dreamed about ever since I saw my first one drive by when I was a land bases fisherman.

Been driving that stretch of road since the Expy bridge was new. People driving in the left lane at 8, noon, or 5 is one thing. People driving in that lane when there is nobody else around, and I'm behind them, is another.

I'll check my odometer when I drive it twice today, and you're probably right. 7 miles was a bit of a tall tale, but it sure seems like a long ways from the Washington/Expressway intersection, to the Sunset Exit.
