Cabin/Lodging Around Van Hook??

Heading north in July to pillage your walleyes, plan on staying in the Van Hook area rather than our usual area further east. Can anyone give me a recommendation on a cabin or other reasonable accommodations in the area? Only needs to be able to sleep two, electricity for the boat, and secure. Motels/hotels are a possibility too but would prefer something where a guy could sit out front and drink a beer. Appreciate all the responses!

It's the reservation, generally speaking it is perfectly OK to sit out in front of just about anything with a beer.

Oddly enough, having grown up there, I now find more reasons to go to Van Hook than just drinking nowadays.

p.s. In hindsight, just wanted to make sure you know I don't frown upon drinking! I will be there at least one weekend in July and I will be bringing plenty of beverages!

LOL! To clarify, drinking a beer on the porch of a cabin is preferred to the front steps of the motel! Thanks for the link!

Anyone have any other leads? Just looking for a place that sleeps 2. Mid July time frame. Would like something like a cabin or trailer to rent. Any suggestions are helpful! Thanks!

There is a hotel just north of Van Hook. I don't recall the name. But less than 5 minutes from the ramp and right next to the bar and gas station

Van Hook Territorial Inn. They have a website and it's a nice place. We stayed there during the WOW event last year and they are VERY fisherman friendly with plenty of boat parking and plug ins for recharging stuff. So Pillage Away as long at it's within the law, NOT the sconi way.

No walleyes or pheasants in ND, stay south my friend...

and the fish are tiny, barley eater sized...not sure why you would come up....feel free to PM me haven't been up there yet this year but wifes family has a place up there and spend several wknds a summer up there. cannot help with the lodging anymore than these guys already did but can certainly give you pointers to help with the fish catching. there plenty of "community holes" that hold fish year around and a guy can often bounce around and do really very well.

no cabins for rent in that area so your limited to the casino or local hotels. van hook territorial in would be my recommendation
