I’d be curious to know how many in the top ten used live scope to win in these big tourneys.
They all do easy, they look for big fish and pitch to them till they bite. They pitch at 50 to 100 fish in day looking for 5 to 10 bites. I know Tom very humble guy just doing what it takes to win. He even trains and shows you online or on the lake to teach this Technolgy. Nobody uses boat behind windshield all up front with 3 big graphs glued to them all day long. If you get lucky the co angler might get portable setup to pitch to any he might see.

Everyone complaining about livescope ruining fishing has clearly never used it, it surely doesn’t make big fish jump in the boat. The guys who are good at it have a ton of time in with it. Having Lowrance version since it first came available I can 100% say I caught more fish without it, but I love to scope. Come tourney time when we fish them most of the time we wind up going back to just fishing. Anyone who can say it’s cheating or an upper hand has hands down never used it or still dont understand how to use it. Tom straight will give his garmin settings up to anyone who buys the course, which is a drop in the bucket when you already have that much invested. Livescope is the equlivent of a scope on a rifle, big deer don’t hardly stand a chance vs open sights. Same goes for chubs. Everyone bitching about chubs in a tourney have the same opportunity as everyone else to source them, they are either to lazy to get their own or to cheap to buy them. congrats to the guys that won and if they got it done purely with scope nice work, one day I hope to have that amount of boat control dialed too.

As far as water in fish, those guys are scum. Sad part is it probably wasn’t even about the money. The amount of money spent on boats, gear and everything else at tourneys these days I don’t know how many even do it for the money. I know we surely dont but it is nice when you get paid.

Guys scoping and weaving at 6 mph through families fishing at 1 mph, then spot locking when they mark one and blowing out of the spot at full throttle when they've seen enough is going to be the end of tournaments. Good riddance.

Glad Walleye tournament guys are usually far more respectful than bass guys, glad bass tournaments are not that popular here

The equivalency is not clear here - Your not finding/locating deer through your scope. Unless your talking about thermal imaging or night vision to locate the deer?

That's not how you search for fish with FFS. Stop trying to be upset about something.

We use FFS while trolling lake trout. You can watch them come in and swim next to cowbells or flashers, follow bait, and sometimes the downrigger ball. It gives you the insight to change size, color, or bait depending on the reaction of the fish.

Thats wonderful, how many people want to waste all the time it takes to do this. The pre fishing is almost worse than the tournaments .
