In the early 90's when I was going to college there, they had some western "wild" cows being slaughtered in the butcher shop for a carcass study and one got away after they had opened the throat. There was a blood trail 4 ft wide that went up the stairs, through the glass doors, and across campus that stretched from the arena building almost to university. Then you could see the skid steer tracks and the drag mark going all the way back to the arena. I saw this on Monday morning and just HAD to investigate. The best part of the story was when the guy told me of the RAUKUS RODEO that happened after the bleeding cow escaped. The chute was busted obviously so the rest of these wild cows got out into the lower arena area. Apparently there was a hog carcass study being conducted at the same time so there was a corral of hogs down there waiting to be slaughtered as well. These cows had never seen hogs and with the smell of blood, a strange place, and the presence of these short pink critters was too much for these cows. I guess when the cows got into the hog pen the day when "Pigs Flew" arrived as the cows proceeded to PUNT these pigs all over the downstairs area. It was quite the job to separate them without getting punted yourself. Ruined two runs of both the studies, but it's too funny not to laugh at the crazy stuff that happens.
