I am not a fan of farm animals residing intown.

I think if you want chickens, that's a live in the country mindset. No offense to you in town chicken guys.

Because of nosy neighbors and cell phone cameras? Hell, just take little porky out for a country "stroll".

I am not a fan of chickens in town. If everyone took care of them properly, it would probably be fine. That said, you are going to have some lazy t-sprinklers that don't take proper care. Also, I could see a feud or two develop between neighbors when their dog or cat makes mince meat out them.

Yes points are precise. Living in city limits affords different rule sets. Non domestic Farm critters are best left on the farm. I also wouldn't move into the country and expect to have paved streets, and sidewalks.

Again if you are an in town chicken titty sprinkler, no offense to you or your whore wife.....haha

We've got ours spray foamed (ya, I know). Could heat it with a candle. We keep it heated all winter to just above freezing so the water and eggs don't freeze. Also got an auto waterer and a 55 gallon auto feeder. They pretty much take care of themselves. I visit them every so often just to get out of the house. It's peaceful compared to kids, wife, TV. ;)

My wife used to be a good source of income and could look like a hot pig with certain brands of jeans. She was adverse to being made aware of this.

It's now 18:45 on the 3rd of October. At approximately 18:35 I believe I saw the last flash and clap of thunder over Minot ND for 2016. This makes me sad. All I ask is Halloween night...

Just got another!! 18:50!! far north east.

Can you imagine have a neighbor that buys that bandwagon chicken routine, only to have a couple roosters in the pen..... fighting, crowing at 5am ALL SUMMER long, feathers blowing all over your lawn, the constant smell of crappola coming through your screen door in the living room. Ahhhh, yes, just lovely!

Of course, your neighbors don't care it bothers you. They just got three eggs for their frying pan.

Minot City Council narrowly strikes down proposed chicken ordinance

MINOT, N.D. - Minot residents looking to house chickens and hens on their property will have to wait for now. Minot's City Council narrowly struck down a motion at their regular meeting Oct. 3 to adjust city ordinance that would have allowed just that.

A handful of Minot residents came to the meeting to show support for the idea and share their reasons for why they thought chickens and hens should be allowed.
The supporters cited healthier food, education on where food comes from, companionship and other benefits, including fertilizer and bug control.
Minot Alderman Lisa Olson proposed a motion that would have allowed up to three such hens in an enclosed coop, with restrictions that would force the owners to care for the animals.
“Hens fit well in city life. Ninety-three out of 100 of the largest-populated cities in the United States allow city hens, and hundreds of hundreds of other, smaller cities do as well,” said supporter Sara Bloom.
One resident did share concerns with the council on the viability of the idea, claiming the ordinance should stay unchanged, and that the animals would bring more issues than good.

“I do know that places like San Antonio are overrun with loose chickens, and they actually go in various portions of the city with about 10, 15 people to try to round them up. They don't always get all of them, and that's why they keep coming back every year,” said resident Bobby Roberts.
In the end, the council struck down the motion by a vote of 8-to-6.

Crap, now I can't become a Chicken Choken Mother Titty Sprinkler! ;:;banghead as I won't have any chicken coops to raid.
