Wife is a RN so she has to try to get to work. Chest high drift all the way in front of the garage door. My work pickup is out in the driveway so we try to take that. Made it 3 blocks. Had to get out and shovel out a path twice. Finally shoveled a path to the side of the road and parked it. Walked back home. My 2500 GMC was plowing snow with the front bumper the whole way. What a mess! This is on the north edge of Williston

No travel advisory in Bismark city limits right now due to cars stuck and abandoned in the streets blocking many roads. Not sure if they can ticket you for being out but it's going to be a mess for awhile. Imagine if this was a two day storm instead of a 12 hour storm! Very curious on the weather services accuracy on snow totals and especially on water content since clearly their shit wasn't working right with them reporting zero liquid precipitation during the three worst hours of the storm! Maybe Allen can shed some light on the hole in the data? This is the second storm that freaked out the data with one of the last storms going the other way saying we were getting inches of water over tenths.

not as bad around Jamestown. we got probably 3/4 inch of rain at least yesterday, then started snowing about 5 pm.. I was just out, I don't think we got more than 4 inches. but it is that terrible, heavy, wind- packed shit. I wouldn't wanna be a deer or a pheasant

Had to take the wife to work this morning, she was supposed to have off. Only 3 of her employees made it in to work to feed the whole hospital. I got the snow blower started and opened the big garage door to a 3.5 foot deep drift that was 8 feet wide running across the driveway ;:;banghead the rest of the driveway had I would guess 14" in it. Cleaned a path down the street to the emergency snow route, I seen a blade go down that a 8 last night and it wasn't touched after that. Backed into the street in 4 high and didn't make it 10 feet before getting stuck, put it in 4 low and stood on the gas and only stopped once to pick up another gal. Broadway and Burdick were kept pretty clean so once I got to those streets it was ok. The side streets SUCK big time.

They just issued a civil emergency for the city of Minot. The police department requests all people stay off the streets.

Only 6" with a lot of wind in W SD along I90. We had 4-6 on the ground before but it was solid and didn't blow. Some areas are clean while others have some drifting. Feel sorry for you guys up there. Wind still blowing.....
