All I know If someone ever commits legitimate pain and anguish to one of my kids in those regards, ill be the first mother fucker in jail. Everyone else will be in the hospital

and to add to that if its my kid that's committing the act they they'll be in the hospital and ill still be in jail!

guess the outlook for me isn't to great

If i would of been the kid i would of been the first mf in jail and everybody else in the hospital. I never got picked on for one reason - most knew the outcome. The kids that were picked on were the weak and the ones that could not stand up for themselves. The losers who picked on them were the ones that had no self esteem and they had to gain it from their peers by getting cheered on.

You seem to be defending the actions of the aggressors at the same time telling the one on the receiving end to get over it. It almost sounds like you were there or even had part in this assault.

The guy probably got slapped on the ass goin to the back of the bus then got depanted the rest is extremely exadjorated and he blames this one event for all his lifes problems sorry don't buy it

This was 5yrs ago so not much point in discussing, but this smells like the work of a lawyer. He waited untill he was 18 because the accused were most likely then as well. Then names can start gett8ng thrown around publicly. The exaggerated effects would also be the work of a lawyer. There worse it sounds the more $$$.

Agree!!! If there were no lawyers, you wouldn't need a lawyer!

Obviously since you clearly didn't make it as far as post two!

Obviously since YOU "the person who started the thread" couldn't get past the title, author and date.

"Does this article make any sense to anyone? So this happend 18 years ago but it then says he waited 3 years to file the suit yet by my math that puts us in Christmas of 02 not fall of 17! This whole setup seems pretty messed up."

Hey did you guys hear we just nuked japan. Never mind grandpa's stack of old newspapers from up stairs aren't current.

Well generally a person doesn't expect old news to be on the front page of the papper where it still is today!

Wrestlers are a weird bunch...
Hazing in any sports was and is common. I am referring 40+ years ago to present we called it initiation that was past on from previous generations of athletes. Had my share of being initiated in high school and collage in more than one sport. My question is does this make all sports and athletes a weird bunch?

I have seen this several times, recycling old news when they don't have any... I think they just change the parameters of the view box to most viewed from trending or some such shit... Just like old threads, situational awareness... get some lol

I don't think I'd call hazing common. At least the type that would rise to the level of criminal activity. I'd be pretty naive to say it doesn't happen at all but I think it's been pretty rooted out for the most part. Probably one benefit of the cell phone age; this stuff always gets videoed by someone now and that's a good deterrent. I'm in my 30's and played fb, bb, baseball all through high school and can't say I saw anything I'd remotely call hazing. Certainly had some teammates that were dinks that tried to intimidate younger guys but not what I would call hazing. I've coached for over 10 years and have never heard of any hazing incidents at the schools I've coached at. That said, there's always going to be deviant behavior in any group of people and we'll probably continue to hear of incidents like this one, but I think it's safe to say that it's far from the norm. The whole cyber-bullying social media addiction is probably a much bigger issue now.

That's the problem because with that title it becomes click bait so becomes the most viewed so cements it to the home page hiding in the middle of the new news. Wonder if someone did something like posting it to their Facebook page talking about the old case causing it to get enough hits to drag it up out of article purgatory and back front and center.

Do some research there are hazing incidents from simple hazing to criminal hazing in high schools, collages and pro sports. More than a person thinks.
