I just saw that the Graner Bottoms ramp is going to be closed April 25th for up to four days. There is the teen challenge tournament on April 30th out of there. I hope they have it done by then. Also, I understand they are going to lower releases out of the dam. Is this the time of year to do that with the spawn going on? Does anyone know if this will effect the walleye hatch?

The people who control the dam couldn't give the least of a worry to the status of the walleye spawn in ND. Will it affect fish, yeah, will it affect the fishery long term, no.

Ironically you are completely backwards in this instance. They are dropping releases to try and keep Saks water atleast to stay level during the spawn. So the reasoning behind it is good for us not bad. That said it's not a great thing for oahe but it's sakakaweas turn to be the favored lake this year so can't complain much. Hopefully we got just enough rain along the Cheyenne river to keep oahe from dropping as much as they have it forcast to over the next three weeks but only time will tell and I don't have to much hope in that one.

None of the lakes should drop this spring flooding down south and the Cheyenne will help South oahe need water in the grand and Moreau. Nice seeing shadehill get a bunch. I will stand by the statement the Coe will and can fuck up a wet dream.

South oahe? It doesn't matter where the water comes in the lake will go up system wide. Not sure if you have ever tried but it's hard to stack liquid! The grand is definitely going to get a bit of a up tick in flow but wouldn't think to much. The flooding down south will have no effect right now since none of it is on the Mississippi river. If it was a normal year we would be fine but it's a drought and last months inflow was extremely low so their hands are tied. I'm all for piling on the corp when they do stupid shit but this one i can't fault. Maybe when ND was rolling in the money we should have bought out the barge industry down south and take that part of the equation out of the issue.

The grand is up a foot the Cheyenne isn't seen both today.
That's because the Cheyenne surge hasn't arrived there yet. I see the moreau has a pretty good pulse coming as well.

Veo creek washed out the detour so lots of water coming in there to the moreau. Its not as wet to the west feeding in the cheyenne as it is south of timber lake feeding moreau. This is just what i have seen with my eyes today.

Will have to see how much we get out of the hills from the storm. Wish the white drained into oahe instead of down stream. Be curious to see what fell on the west side of the hills down to Casper to see if that area will add anything to oahe.

I never backed off the ramp the one time I launched from there this year. Not sure what they'd be repairing. What I do know is that I had a lot of spots that were connected to the main channel by a foot of water. SCHEISSE! Maybe now I can find the connecting channel south of fox island. I really don't need to polish my prop any more.

after your second water pump swap when you can grab every tool you need for the swap the first time, you will have the channel fiqured out.

Don't ask me how I know

learn the the channel traveling upstream will save you a bunch of time.

dirty I'm thinking you have to go straight across from fox boat ramp to Mandan side take small channel past mouth of heart and you are good to go. I had the same problem I will be checking it out because they drop water anymore you wont be going south of fox bis side anymore.
