Thanks Musky. That is the crankcase breather tube discussed above. I got a vacuum cap for the intake side so I can do that if needed. You get a lot of grime coming out of the disconnected breather tube?

No, none. I know the Honda's are light and very small, but people should look at these Yamaha's. More power, still light enough to lift without problem, but the best part is a larger fuel tank that lets it run about 14 hours per tank. Great unit.
