I look at it this way.... Laws are guidelines. You break them, you get the retribution of the system.
The problem is.... no matter WHAT guidelines you set, people will follow their own path.
DUI/DWI --- Thought getting behind the wheel intoxicated or high was illegal
Murder--- Pretty sure that is too.
Theft---- Same here.

The point being is that the honest people are going to do honest things, the remainder... not so much. You can't control that with a "rule book". This thing called honor and respect have fallen from graces. Look at the shape this Republic is in..... tell me I'm wrong.
