Those of you wanting to control weeds on your property, remember that it is a great time in the fall to do so AFTER the first HARD frost. Supposedly it is the first hard frost that makes the plant want to suck in moisture from the leaves of the plant to the roots and then whammo. they be Dead!!

We're hitting our CRP this week with a mixture of water, 2-4-D and Milestone. We have plenty of Canadian thistle in there with a few leafy spurge mixed in. Does a pretty good job on 'em. We've been spot spraying it for years ever since i can remember, with 2,3 and 4 gallon sprayers by hand, on foot. GREAT EXERCISE!! This year we broke down and purchased a side by side. Should be way more enjoyable to do. Especially when we are done. We usually run over to Lake Tschida and look around. We'll park the truck and trailer and view the lake via side by side this year.
