How cool is that, We have technology we haven't used yet. I had no clue there was still that much ice down there, I was going to head down last week but I thought it was over.

I know that is a fisherman , I watched him walk in from the left of the screen.

I wonder if the ice is moving and pushed up to shore here ? I was sure I saw a pic of DL a long time ago that had 10' of open water along the edge.

I know where I am going next week thanks to this pirate cam. This is my favorite time of the year for ice fishing.

i'd wear a life jacket and a rope tied off to something...

I'll watch them come off tonight and see what happens tomorrow, I'd bet they are on close to 2' of ice out there. I take a lot of precaution, Only got wet once when the ice moved away from shore and we didn't notice , It was only waist deep but boy was it cold. ;)

Rats, I hit refresh and they were gone. Did anyone watch them come off the ice ?

Haha No way, I'm not sure if you're pulling my leg or not. Usually all it takes is a few trees on the south shore and you can get on and off no problem, No South shore by that ramp as far as I can tell so they could have got wet unless they brought some boards. I probably should stick in the hills , Last Friday there was still 2' of ice but the fishing isn't that good. It's tempting to hit DL ice this time of the year, I'm guessing if I drove down and couldn't find a spot to get on and off the bridges would provide shore fishing.

by next weekend you might have to bring your own ice...

Oh wow, She would be getting mighty thin by now if that's all there was to start with. We haven't been losing much ice up here in the last two weeks, Been getting pretty cold at night. A few years ago there were still vehicles driving around metigoshe on april fools day.

This is at Black Tiger Bay on Saturday. We thought for sure the entire lake would be open. We did find some open water to fish though, around bridges and some back bays. And judging by what picture I posted, you can figure out on your own how the fishing was.

messing around in the spring on 3 feet of ice is a lot different than on 20 inches, stupid usually hurts.

seriously now. where can a guy still walk out on the ice? thanks!

For Devils lake, I would like to know too. I thought it was over a couple weeks ago or I would have went. If you find a spot watch the wind and ice drift. Better yet, Clue me in and me and I will drive down.

Was just there yesterday...I'd say half of devils is open, and the ice is going to be melting quick this week I'd think. Stopped at Stump on the way home, and the lake is completely open as far as I could see, both from the east arm and the boat ramp in the park. Hopefully in 2 weekends the water temp will be up and the bite will be on! I'd bring the boat out this weekend, but I'll be in Tampa for the frozen four. :;:rockit
