Saw two mourning doves today. Did a double take and studied them hard; not the collard. My record for earliest sighting. That is all.

Saw 3 mourning doves this morning out on the snare line. Watched'em at 40 yards or so in the binos for a minute or two just to be sure I saw what I thought I saw.

I believe you "shot" some rock pigeon.

As I said, these birds made me do a double take. They didn't flush like pigeons; they contentedly picked under a bird feeder with fox squirrels. The others tend to flush like half ass retards when approached by a vehicle. I'm pretty certain of what I "saw".

I have 8 of the Eurasian collared doves that have been living in my yard year round for several years. I have feeders out with sunflower seeds and they love it. They mingle very well with the pheasants under the feeders too unlike the Blue jays, them and the pheasants do not play well together although I don't think the blue jays and the couple different breeds of wood peckers I have play well with any other critter, very tempermental birds.

do sovereign nations also get American nations benefits? do they get to vote for our presidents, pay our taxes, eat our food stamp food? or do they have their own elections, and welfare system, cause I sure don't want to pay into both, but only receive the benefits of one. That would be politically incorrect, and that is not allowed anymore for sure.
I will gladly pay you for a cheese burger on Thursday for a cheese burger today

i have been seeing more and more of those collared doves on the east side of the state, the collared dove goes under the same category as a mourning dove as far as the kill limit goes i assume? they are a bigger bird thats for sure!

Eurasian collard doves are an invasive species just like the European rock dove (The Pigeon) so IMO they should not be included with the mourning dove as far as being a regulated species and we should be able to take them at any time just like pigeons.
