You can't drive a vehicle off trail on your own land to park to walk to your stand. I know that for a fact and it's $50. Saw it with the airplane as I use to park below a hill so my vehicle couldn't be seen from the road. Now i just park along the road.

The officer that ticketed me told me he'd never ticket a landowner or someone with permission for this but it was called in from the plane so he had to go do it. He was nice, respectful and we talked for a while. Out doing his job and I learned something.
That is asinine that a land owner cant driver where ever they want on there own land. People drive all over to set up decoys why cant you park where ever you want to walk to a deer stand hell what if you use your pickup as a deer stand. Some weird rules up there

I'm assuming they ticketed one too many members or friends of legislature members for driving on their own property. Insert new language.

Also, don’t carry a round in the pipe of your CCW if you’re in your pickup and actively “hunting”.

Game and fish laws apparently supersede the 2nd amendment….go figure that one out.

Good to know.

Do they accept cash payment on the spot?

This would be the last of my worries if pulled over by a Warden. In fact I was 2 weeks ago. He had two pickups pulled over from Wisconsin and talking to them as I pulled up. He walked over to drivers door and asked if I was hunting. It was right next to a WPA. I said no, I don't have steel shot. Looked and seen I was shooting a O/U so no plug issue. I brought up my lic on my phone. He looked at it and said have nice day.

Minnesota?

This was Pollert in SE ND a “few” years ago.

You better worry about it if you don’t want a ticket! He let me off with a warning. I’ve been checked by him numerous times back in the day. Some people complain about him. He’s always been fair and professional with me. Don’t break the law and you won’t have any problems. Pretty simple

In order to use a vehicle as a blind in ND, you have to remove the wheels, or at least jack it up and put it on blocks.

So you cant drive out to a hill on land you own and look from deer from the pick up and then get out and lay down and shoot it. Seems like a huge over reach. I can understand the truck having to be parked but other than that seems like making laws just to ticket people for bullshit

1. You better use an established trail to get to the top of that hill.

2. Yes, you can glass from the vehicle, but you can't shoot from it without a special permit.

I'm talking about using a vehicle as a blind off the beaten path. I've seen a couple of vehicles used as a blind over the years. Old trucks that still ran and produced heat (at least one did), and I know the warden specifically told him he needed to take the wheels off, or put it up on blocks so it couldn't drive.

Why you own the land and should be able to drive where ever when ever you want. Cant a land owner say this is an established trail on my land because i decide where the trails are.
