He admited on the video that the sheriff told him to just fir a gun and it will go away(scare it away) so he decided to go run the bear down and kill it? I get killing it if its coming after you, family, or pets for example. This video does not look good on his part....

Just had a confrontation with this guy a couple months back about flying his american flag upside down for no reason as I was driving by his place in the country.. He's a vet and suffers from ptsd and glad I didn't get out of my vehicle when he offered me to come up up for coffee to talk about it in his house as I did pull into his driveway and thought about shit twice..
I've heard the whole story now(truth and facts)...he was scared for his family's safety as his wife has a daycare, scared for his neighbors, his chickens got wiped out, and bear marked up his mailbox and neither law enforcement or game warden seemed to give a shit or do a Damn thing it whatsoever..
Im not sure what to think or how I feel about the whole situation in the end but every once in awhile, I do have to step back and put myself in someone else's shoes at the same time. Local game warden and/or law enforcement should have been out there ASAP with a tranquilzer gun and trailer, I don't care what anybody says, if kids lives are in danger that's "the end of story" as Paul Harvey would say.. We shall see!
We will see is right..we live in ND lots of wildlife around that we sometimes have to deal with/live with. I live in the city and have had coyotes in our area...doesnt give me the right, cause i think something may happen to gun/run it down and kill it...yea yeah i know its a coyote. I really dont think he was using much common sense here. If i remember correctly he also said it was walking away from his place....

Flying around in a mini van shooting out the windows and running it over is way to excessive imo. Sure scare it away if you choose but black bears pose little danger especially in open country. This guy is a nut case and needs to be held accountable.

In "my" neck of the woods; we don't confront a fucktard over a flag unless we want a confrontation. That's like the "little-ass" in the playboy mansion going upstairs "just to shave her legs" and "suddenly" involved in an orgy.

"Little Ass" wanted to be a victim then a triumphant hero. Don't do this shit. IMO

I dont know about anyone else but killing just to kill doesnt sit well with me. Hunting/fishing for a reason such as consuming meat was how i was raised. Have a killed things on accident such as driving down the road and a deer runs out in front of me..sure, but to purposely just kill an animal just because..nope.

I'm not taking sides whatsoever and I thought I made that clear but there's times to fly your flag upside in distress and there's times to protect children and what is yours as well..
Still don't believe deep down it was dealt with properly whatsoever but I'm still willing to see both sides of this shitshow ordeal in the end.

Like Johnr said, God will make more bears but if there's a threat to any child involved in its vicinity and causing chaos , it's a f-ing predatory bear looking for a quick meal in the end.

Really couldn't agree more but it was a blazer or mini suv / crossover, not a minivan lol

I agree he should have his time to explain...it just doesnt look good..from the field video to his explanation in his video. If charged i fully believe innocent until proven guilty. A video that may have been edited etc is not a guilty verdict and he should be allowed to defend himself. Probably was nit a smart move to post his video.

Totally agree but obviously someone from the road of whom he didn't know was recording it... I really don't see him getting any charges in the end if he claims fear of safety for children, homestead, neighbors, his livestock in the end...
Slippery slope here is all and I most definitely see both sides of it all. Kinda like standing your ground law, can easily go either way depending circumstances.

Stick up for your country and those that gave up everything and fought for it and what we get to have and enjoy maybe? 🇺🇸🇺🇸 i simply will never back down on that principle in my lifetime..

Okay for a reason or just to kill them? I would guess your shooting them ti keep them from tearing up your yard are getting into your shit? I guess i would say thats justifiable in my book if thats the case...similiar to prairie dog hunts..shooting to control population and stop the holes tearing up a field. Do you think its ok to go see a deer and just shoot it and let it lay. To me there gas to be some reason..nof just kill it. A bear leaving my property a mile or more away would not get a shot or run down from me. I would absolutly be watching for its return and ready ti shoot if needed
