I kinda thought it was implied that I meant a Black Bear is a Black Bear independent of geography. Yes, their ecosystem will dictate their diet to a degree but thinking that a young and likely newly independent bear isn't a threat, especially if there are noisy squealing children about, is naive.so a bear is not a bear……A grizzly, polar, and black are nowhere near the same and to think otherwise is pretty foolish. I guarantee you if you could walk up to rhat bear in the video( unlikely as it would be scared of humans) you could kick it in the head and tell it to scram. It’s nothing more than a big raccoon.
I've spent an awful lot of time in NW MN "bear country" and I can't say I've ever felt threatened or worried. I've hunted deer, elk, bears, and moose in areas of MT, WY, and AB where there are a mix of Black and Grizz Bears, and again, never was worried. That said, I wouldn't tolerate one in my yard.
