Help . . .
Went out the other day truck would not start. Battery metered at 12.3 v , got it jump started. Went to Napa, had tested, said weak battery ( original ) so purchased new. Installed and started fine and drove about 20 miles. Fast forward, yesterday went to start and same thing, won't start. Battery metered at 11.8v. Where to start if there is electrical draw? Neighbor asked if I did a battery reset? Know nothing about reset and doesn't say in manual. Any owners have similar issues?

This is cutting into my ice fishing.😉

There is a battery reset..turn power on but not started.. flash brights 5 times then brake peddle 3 times. Wait for battery light to flash and it's good to go. This however should not have killed your battery as the truck over a 3 week period will re-learn the BMS. Do you have an after market car starter installed or any after market parts that run off electricity? Tha manual doesn't say anything about battery reset because of course they want you to take it in for the battery replacement. I belueve the new trucks do have it in the manual but not 100% sure on this. Check the volts when it's on and running to see if alternator is producing power. Is the battery an agm or regular lead acid?

Try taking one battery cable off for a minute to let computer reset and try starting again. LB

Agm battery, no add ons at all , just a Noco battery tender attached because it sometime sits for long periods between uses so plugged in periodically ,and I did try the bright lights brake trick. Nothing. Doesn't even start when I kick my 50 amp boost on battery charger. Had tender on it last night and showed fully charged. Battery metered at 12.83.
Going to try battery disconnect again.
alternator charging?
??? Can't get started and don't have alternator tester.

Test your alternator, you should have around 14volts with the vehicle running. Somewhere in that 14-14.2 range if the alternator is charging properly, It can be tested with a multi meter if you have one. If not most parts stores should be able to test it for you.

Do you have a multimeter? Take battery back to Napa. Go to Walmart. Purchase ever start platinum agm. 4 year warranty $179. Made by Johnson Control which is also who makes interstate..it's basically an Interstate battery without the cost. Is that battery tender rated to charge agm? My guess is your battery took a shit then you bought another battery that was bad off the shelf....still would want to check the alternator and make sure charger can charge agm battery. Deka makes napa battery and they are not bad but who knows how long that battery was on the shelf...you can look up the manufacturer date on it if you want to.

When tested at Napa alternator showed good, weak battery. My Noco tender does recognize agm battery. It could be a funky battery ?
My old one charged up to 13.4 v. Gonna unhook for a bit and try again if still nothing gonna try old one again.

You got a bad battery, take it back and get a replacement.

Got both new and old metering over 13 .1. Swapped around and nothing. Wondering if somehow the security from remote fobs got f'd up somehow and won't allow to start?

Won't start jumping either.

Sounds like an alternator issue to me, just had to replace one myself (not due to charging but bearing went out in it and was driving me as a crazy as a stone in my brakes/rotors)..
I'm pretty ocd and my dash currently looks like Christmas lights due to having put a spare on and air bag issue now, damn winter/ sensors/hunting season..
Im a "get it fixed ASAP" kinda guy or REALLY bend over down the road.

So what happens when you turn the key, does the dash light up like it should but motor just won't crank over? Do you have a remote starter that you could try, that would eliminate a key problem?

pushbutton start, everything illuminates when pushed for accessory, nothing when start mode brake and pushbutton.
Have tried both remotes also.

Its almost like something with the security/anti theft system is not allowing starting.

Try the key..take the push button off and actually insert the key to start. Also lock and unlock Door with the key itself
Not sure if below works on your year either...worth a shot. The security system to me is looking for a key to reset all and make sure it's not stolen

Not 100% on your year..it may have the back up slot..check both cupholders in front counsel..if you don't have a center counsel there should be a keyfob spot inside the bench seat center counsel towards the back when you open it.

So my wife has a 2019 Tahoe that did the same shit and ended up being one of the big main fuses under the hood. It would light up but nothing when you pushed the break and button in the mechanic that got it off Main Street had to jump the fuse and then jump it just to get it to the shop. I hate all those electronic shit.
