Coming to fargo next week for work and where is a good place to go for a good steak or meal in general. Want to avoid the texas road houses and what not.

Deaner's Diner in West Fargo for fantastic home-cooked comfort-food type meals and great breakfast.

Doolittles hardwood fired rotisserie chicken and ribs are also quite good.

I don't think they have steak but the Wurst Bier Hall downtown has awesome food.

Spitfire is my personal favorite.

Doolittles is very hard to beat as well.

There's always The Red Pecker up by Moo U....

Fargo doesn't have much for restaurants you may want to bring a sack lunch with you

Depends what you want to spend. I would have to agree that Spitfire and Doolittles will never disappoint! If you want more up scale (and more expensive fine dining) Mezzaluna I would say is the best in town. But you'll pay for it.

If downtown and you like bbq, No Bull Smokehouse is good. It's basically a copy of Famous Daves
with much better food IMO.

I've never been a fan of Texas Roadhouse. Longhorn Steakhouse isn't too bad. Seasons, at Rose Creek golf course has some good food, but like Porter Creek, can be spendy. For my money I'd go to Spitfire. I've NEVER had a meal I didn't like there. Spitfire pasta with jalapenos, ribs, rotisserie chicken, steak, and they have a sandwich called the "Pit Boss". Everything is awesome. Get the skinless baked potatoes for your side - comes with bacon, cheese, and sour cream. You'll thank me later for it.

Blarney Stone makes a mean ruben sandwich and they have Guinness on tap. Win WIN!!

For breakfast their Celtic Cure and the Bloody Mary bar is a must have!
