Not to give you guys a hard time as I have sent in money many many many times to the US treasury..and maybe I am reading it wrong..but why oh why send it in now?? I wait until the very last minute to send it in...they can wait.

mrs johnr called me yesterday and said "did you send the checks into the state and fed for our taxes owed yet?"

so I told her I will send them today. She (mrs johnr) tells me to do something, which is very rare, I just do it no questions asked.

It was just one more thing off of her plate, interest on the money in a ten day period was negligible I guess, and it will take them a week or two to cash the checks, as it has in the past.

She is the brains of our operation...quite obviously.

Its all about the keeping up with the Jones......all I want a boat to do is help me catch fish..nothing more..mind you....Do I like going fast...sure...but I do that on a race track..much much more fun.....peeling 90G for a fishing boat is retarded imo.

Unless you can afford the payments and LIKE payments...by all means..indulge yourself......

Knowing what guys who just race on weekends spend 90 grand for a boat once doesn't seem like that much if you take in the year after year expenses.

Sorry Rusty, I wouldn't have an Etec stuffed up my back side! Especially the new ones with $70+ for a gallon of oil that's hard as shit to find. Hell, I was already having a hard time finding Yamalube 2M for my HPDI.

And don't you feel just a little weird asking a guy if he has any Yamalube?

Yamalube, ha ha another scam. I've owned probably 5 HPDI 200s and they all ran flawlessly on Supertech TC-W3 from walmart at about $11 a gallon on sale. Oh and yea that etec, no thanks. So many beautiful rangers with those things hanging on the backs of them that folks take a beating on trying to unload. Maybe the new ones are good to go, but up until recently I haven't known a single guy who hasn't had theirs into the shop for one thing or another.

Agreed. If you can't resale a big, beautiful, glass boat with a purring supercharged 6 cyl verado you best give up your dreams of being a salesman.

Especially if he was a Japanese guy named Yamahoti.

One thing about merc owners they are like ford owners their daddy drove a merc/ford and they don't drive anything else regardless. Bottom line the very hard used commercial boats (dive boats for ex) I see in the us and foreign co is yamahas and hOnda. I never see. Black. It will be interesting to see what johhny morris does now that he owns how many more brands. When the contracts run out I gueS's we will see. What is the game and fish running? I think I seen silver in devils lake and white south of mandan. Any of them running black?

Interestingly, I have no issues owning a forced induction daily driver and yet avoid that complexity on a outboard?????? I won't own a merc as long as merc and Crestliner have corporate/family ties. I'd have 0 reservations about running another 4-stroke Suzuki or another 4-stroke Yamaha assuming both were new enough to have EFI. I've never owned a Honda but have 3 buddies that have and all 3 have been long-term trouble free.

It'd take a level of amazingness i've not yet seen to pry me away from 4-stroke back to 2.
