Fishermen? No. I have 340 of those shiny bastards to paint up and that's just one order. There's six more orders to get to yet but not before I take my sparkly boat with multiple graphs and other unneeded gadgets to the river tomorrow for a nice, three-day weekend.

Glad business is good........hardly seems like you should have time to whine and bitch on the internet...........;)

Ah DM, the true nature of your little quips is apparent to most.

My opinion that fat and lazy isn't a disability somehow triggered you to quote me and add in a joe biden clip where he has the biggest brain fart in the history of brain farts. Come on Gabe. Nice try though.

DM it seems as if you were "triggered" otherwise why reply?

I’d be ok with some decent enforcement for once as a compromise. COE is a prick of an absentee landlord, rarely there but when they peek in they make peoples lives a living hell. Instead of posting signs and building fences put a couple guys on patrol. I bet they spent quite a few years of salaries building those fences, ya know because the government always gets the most bang for their buck and all. Make sure people aren’t cruising, just going from road to spot. Dealing with littering, glass bottles, other asshole behavior, would benefit everyone. Put some of their wasted tax money to use for a change and maybe even give a few guys living in the area a career in the process.

Back to the topic at hand, the simple truth is what is posted here. It is a symptom becoming more and more common in Federal agencies.

sounds as though the corp is going to provide more access in the western 1/3 of the lake. Mort talk to Andy at Scenic Sports. He accompanied the corp on a half day fact gathering trip regarding the fences, etc.

When the fences come down I will believe it. What sucks is tax payer money put them fences up and tax payer money will take them down. All for a bird.

What sucks is when so called “outdoorsmen” can’t respect land. We only have so much of it... why is protecting some of it a bad thing?

"public humiliation"?? you will have to be a bit more specific guy.

"grudge match"??

I simply think the outdoors are for everyone even fishermen that may drink a six pack rather than have one under their shirt.

Stans Dads comments suggested that if you are not willing to make "better life choicess" to meet his standard of physical specimen then limiting your access to the outdoors is okey dokey.

It is the same kind of elitist arrogance of those that claim they are "okay" with thousands of miles of access roads closed on federal PUBLIC lands becasue if you can't carry a 80 lb pack 10 miles into the back country maybe you shouldn;t be there.

If people want public lands/access they are then for ALL the public regardless of age or any other limitation not just some group one person or group deems worthy.

It was a childish stupid comment to make.

Hmmmm, you misremerbed?

A handful of people whining on an internet site is humiliation? Perhaps for a liberal needing a safe space or two.

and to be honest DM petty comment did in fact "trigger" me just a bit, but not for what he foolishly assumes.

Years ago I had a friend that becasue of a genetic health issue was unable to be as active as most people our age. As a result he became significantly over weight to the point he was unable to fit in boat seats or duck blinds or other outdoor activity venues. So he missed out on a lot of what us other guys enjoyed. But he loved shore fishing. He really loved shore fishing and got quite good at it too the point he was rarely ever skunked. It was a struggle for him to get up and down a lot of the places he fished but he did his best. He enjoyed shore fishing right up until he passed away as a result of complications from his health issues.

So perhaps the "humiliation" should be for those that make juvenile petty comments as they ignorantly judge other people based on their physical features or differences from themselves to the point they are alright with these peoples access to what they love being limited.

but then again some people never seem to have matured past junior high so perhaps they won;t understand why they should be humiliated.

another classic gst tactic - seen it a hundred times

yeah pointing out the stupidity of a handful of peoples posts happens more than one would think on these sites.

Unless you think there was something else there.

You can still use it tho, it has walk in access. Why do we have to let things get destroyed before we decide it’s a good idea to stop the practice. Being proactive instead of reactive to what’s already happened.

I ain't sure why it matters for what reason you are fat. If you are cut off from access because you are fat from no fault of your own, from fault of your own, a quadrapalegic, or 80 years old and need a walker... access is access... and cutting it off to those listed above still sucks even if the inability to access is self inflicted. But, mostly because the cutting off access doesn't distinguish between the self inflicted inability and the non self inflicted inability to access.

Agree. It’s just ridiculous that people can’t be more respectful of public property. It makes me sick. A couple bad apples really do ruin the bunch. What needs to happen is more self policing. There can’t be a sheriff or game warden everywhere. If you see someone littering or just plain being an idiot (tearing up shoreline with atvs/dirt bikes where they are not allowed, double dipping fishing, fires when ban is in place, etc) call it in.

Also, it is unfortunate that the corps picks and chooses which areas to close off to the general public (who for the most part respect public property) when not a damn thing was done with the dapl protest ecoterrorist attack (which literally caused more damage to public property than all the years of dumbasserry combined on corps land).

If family/friends can’t go camp or shore fish (and have reasonable opportunities for access) on the hundreds of miles shoreline of lake Sak or the mighty Mo, but protestors can build a fricking town with no repercussions, we got problems as people of the United States. That still really grinds my gears.

Ah .......so you can deduce those people, perhaps even some on this site, that are "lazy" simply based on a particular degree of body fat...........you have many talents Mike.

So how about the fat but not lazy people that might still have a problem "swinging their belly" an extra half a mile to access shore fishing? Should they have access to public fishing made more difficult for them?

Making a stupid statement........well okay, shit happens........defending it........;:;banghead
