As of now we westerners are not flooded with mong and sconi's to the point of it being an issue. I am an equal opportunity racist, and hate all crowds, would rather fish with limited success than more in a crowd.

Any person who can't get away from ther crowds out east hasn't actually tried. With god knows how many new lakes out there most with no one or next to no one fishing them on any given day. Most guys just like to go back to a spot they know and fish it in a way they know and if it's packed they just bitch instead of breaking away to do their own thing. Mind you I'm all for these types of people.... makes it nice for me in my wanders out in the middle of nowhere! :;:cheers

I wish I had a nice 14' with a 20hp tiller to take up north because this will be the year to explore for land locked eyeballs. Pelican will have less boats, unless we get like 3 feet of runoff to allow access.

Yeah that's why I like the SS pipsqueak so much. With it if you can get near the lake with a truck you are close enough to launch it.

What's there to scratch your head about? The only thing I see wrong with that one is it seems short.

I'm all for projects like this so don't take me wrong that way but the word pier had me thinking these were earthen structures with a life expectancy of 100 years that handicapped people could drive out on and get out of the car and fish. Pictures are deceiving but I don't see an easy way to take it in and put it out every year, The high maintenance was most of the head scratch.

There is supposed to be a total of 4 pier systems, this pier is on the north side of highway 2 bridge in between the rr bridge and highway bridge. Where grand Harbor ND was many moons ago, unless Devils Lake drys up this pier should be OK because of the channel A. Good pick Davey
