The simple physics of having a Yeti on board would have prevented this entirely. Safety first, gentleman. Remember your Yeti.

First of all, hope everyone made it out alright.

Second of all, I believe it was too many sparkles combined with a high-noon sun...bingo bango bongo.....fire

Maybe electrical fire - which are nasty.

A main battery switch is located OUTSIDE any compartments has me feeling confident I can stop the shorting/smoldering if necessary if I ever smell "that smell".

For whomever didn't understand the joke in this statement, sparkles are in reference to the fiberglass boat, not booze...some peoples kids.

Bananas. When will people learn?

Ha! When Huffranger said "worst thing to have on a boat (meaning, I figure, fire...) I thought to myself "worse than a banana?".

I smelled "that smell" once crossing Sak from Douglas Creek to the face of the dam. Went away before we arrived at the dam. Then the trolling motor wouldn't work. A quick visual inspection revealed the culprit. A seat strut across the battery terminals made one terminal completely go away. Huh?
