[FONT=&quot]Burleigh County officials have opened a sandbagging site for citizens to fill and take sandbags, free of charge, to help mitigate potential damage to their homes from overland flooding. The site is located at the Missouri Valley Complex. Utilize the south entrance off Bismarck Expressway and exit on Main Avenue. Citizens are asked to bring their own shovels and work gloves.

My back yard has been a lake the past week, from all the snow melt and frozen ground. I can't imagine what it would have been like if we had a lot more snow.

I do not think there is much in the forecast, but a dribble possible sunday/monday. Maybe what is all blown into the trees/ravines etc.. farther north is melting so fast and just running over the top of frozen ground? I dunno. Don't think there is much flow out of the dam

It was only for those that have overland flooding. Nothing to worry about with water causeways, which are all under average levels. I have one home in my area that had water ready to go over the intersection because the culvert was plugged and not letting water flow across underneath.

I looked at a few ND road cams scattered throughout the state and see more grass than snow. What about the RRV based on what's on the ground now ?

The hills in the Sheyenne river valley by Valley City are about half melted of snow today. Just a bit in the trees and deeper ravines, but one more day of 40's should hammer what snow is left pretty good. The ice hasn't even broke up on the Sheyenne here and there is just a trickle of water going over the ice. Unless we get SIGNIFICANT precip, it should be a gloriously unflooded spring here at Ft. KDM. Enjoy the warmth fellas.
