if it's your core biz - you'll be "invested" or otherwise f'd is something goes wrong - then get legal advice. doing things right is cheaper than insurance

If this is for consulting in the oil patch you better do this through a good corporation attorney.

Absolutely agree. I do the same. Mainly because may oil companies require a crap ton of very hard to get limited liability insurance for downhole consultants. You want everything separate in terms of personal vs business.
