Sounds like it'll be in the 20s starting Monday or Tuesday. I can handle that.

Me and the hounds are gonna try to chase roosters on Sunday. High currently is -3. This may be the dumbest thing I do all year.

I don't mind it, its making lots of ice and putting a hurt on the protesters.

A heated garage and car starter make winter a lot more bearable.

Thats is a TRUE statement right there, bud! Glad all my vehicles have them, know doubt. I have garage, but its not insulated but does have a heater in it.

Just replaced the batteries on the car starter today, first new batteries needed in 4 years.

I went to the auto tint place, they also talked me into some weather tech floor mats for mrs johnrs Explorer.

Seems she sneakily suggested these the other day, and like a boss I remembered it is Christmas in a couple weeks.

Damn dog ate up two doggie beds last week as she pulled on mom's heart strings to stay in the house during the day. 55 degrees in the garage sounds like a proper place for a dog.

Yep. Winter could be our best friend and clean out the trash or just keep it from stinking until next spring.:;:thumbsup

this is why I cringe when I see someone post a "I cant wait till hard water" in July. Our summer season is so short - however ever our winter goes on forever. The majority that ran out and drilled holes got stung as the bite was so so and air was cold (fish are like going WTF)- colder this weekend - wind -- shit weather.

I will take a 99degree day no wind vs. this any day on the water.

Shoot 'em while you can. Did a fair amount of driving today and there were quite a few roosters on the highway and they looked miserable. I'm afraid this could be a bad winter for pheasants especially.

I'm hoping we can get a good wind in the next couple of days. We have about 5 inches of fresh fluffy shit sitting on the ice right now. I'm going to wait till Monday before I try and chase some birds. To cold this weekend for the short haired dogs.

Nope about 35 and 10 mph and September to October would be better. You can keep that 90 degree bullshit. If it never got above 50 and below 30 I would not mind

Yep, eff 99 degrees, eff the humidity. I don't care for some extreme winter conditions either but at least I finally get some fishing done last few years.
One way or the other the one thing that I hate and Pisces me off is fighting high winds, no mater what time of year

The cold isn't the problem. Not much difference between +20 and -30 if there is no wind. I hate wind.

First of all rarely do we see a 90 degree day. I can count on 1 or 2 fingers this summer. Second a 90 degree day with low winds usually starts out at 70 and gives a person hands down a nice 6 hours in the boat before it starts feeling miserable. A 35 degree day in the boat no thanks did that enough 10mild wind and 35 brutal as 10 sustained is 15 gusts. U have to fish with a buddy on a day like that and u cant have any mistakes or engine issues. Remember the guy floating on the gas can all night it would of been 10 minutes lights out. I am going to say majority of my friends and people I see every day r in better moods during the summer most live for it. I like all seasons but I will take open water any day vs ice. Ice overrated

Don't go in the boat. Hunt. Fishing is to just pass time till hunting starts again.

To much rain. Somewhere higher in elevation and alot less people. I would rather have this cold than heat Ft. Sill OK let me know that

I love watching how the "temperature" of this website changes with the weather. You can sure tell guys are tired of being penned up in the house and only going outside to blow snow or head to work.

Hang on a few more days guys! This cold is going to break, we will have good ice and will be out drinking cold beers in the sun while we fish. Whooo. Hoooo!
