Between freezing like a week ago and the sun baking the plants now along with deer issues in the middle it’s a bit of a rough start to tge gardening year.

101 and 20 mph wind. A good piss would never hit the ground.

Amazing what rain will do for a growing plant. Well water just dont seem to kick it along that much. LB

If anyone see's a 10X20 tarp with 4 large tire size holes in it let me know. One of mine ran away from home this morning. Had it staked down with driveway markers but I guess that was'nt enough. Need some cement blocks in the corners. LB

Found it. 3/4 mile to the southwest hung up in a shelterbelt. It had to of went over the top of the house to get out of my yard. If it gets away again I will have cement block damage to my roof, see how that plays out with insurance. LB

Curious how others fared with the rain we had ? Here it pounded the ground pretty hard , Some has came up before the rain and some didn't.
It washed dirt over the planted areas and buried it too deep. Guess I better replant tonight, going to be a late crop.

Is it too late to plant ? Or replant I should say . I have a lot of extra garden space and not everything made it through the big storm

I have pulled some baby potatoes around the 4th of July and then replanted carrots and green beans for fall. Beets will also make it. There are plenty of short season veggies out there if you dont mind harvesting in Sept' All depends on how early you get frost. LB
