Earlier in my survey career whe were working in the rain around cattle. I had the carbon fiber GPS pole and one of the other guys held the electric fence down with a wooden lath as I crossed. Well I was holding the pole horizontal as we were in some trees and when he released the wire it caught that pole a couple feet behind me, let's just say I found out how well carbon fiber conducts electricity and being wet standing in water didn't help probably

Getting a lot of black currants right now... have more than I can pick. If you are in the bismarck area and want to pick a gallon, PM and well try to work something out.

They look like hook worms.

I think it's a female and they are around its titties. There were a few ants crawling on and around it. Ant eggs? 🤷‍♂️

Sweet corn is read! We've been eating potatoes for almost a month. Lots of peas and beans. Zucchini are now coming in. I'm gonna live off of BLT's for the next few weeks!

That looks like it needs at least another week to finish...

I have reds also and Im not a fan of them, seeds are too big and they flavor is kinda monotone. I have 8 varieties of black currant but so far my favorite is Ben Hope, so thats what Ive planted the most. A couple newer varieties I got last year I havent evaluated well yet though.

BC are easy to grow from hardwood cuttings, I can sell you a few if you want after my plants go dormant this fall. Im putting in a bunch more this fall also. I dont have any rows dedicated to black currants, Ive just planted a bunch of them between other things, but Im going to put in 3, 300ft rows of just black currant.

Tomatoes and peppers starting to fire pretty good. Zucchini like crazy. Peas and lettuce wrapping up from a healthy crop. Few kohlrabi yet to pick. Have eaten a few young onions. Beets look like I could dig them whenever I’m ready to work. Okra just starting to harvest and carrots look like I’ll have a good batch again. Both batches of radishes produced like nuts like normal. Will be canning pickles and hot mix later today.
