On February 28, 2026 when the US and Israeli military went in and Killed Iran's supreme leader Ayatoliah Ali Khamenei and most of his family was a huge mistake. All this did was unite the hardline regime and left no central power to negotiate with. They then doubled down and closed the strait of Hormuz and vowed to never give up.
