A close friend that I have known for 60 plus years has this standing in the corner of his home for the last 25 years or so. He uses it for just about anything.
It is a Winchester 92 with a 218 Bee barrel. The Leupold has been on there for longer than that.
It is not pristine looking but it is a daily user and works great.

I have a Marlin 22mag with the mico-grove barrel that I keep handy and a 20ga 870 youth model not far away. LB

I have a little Kimber micro 9 that I WAS going to give to my daughter but it hasn’t made it that far yet. It’s usually on me or not too far away.

My go to rifle is a Kimber MT in 308 (big surprise). That particular one has a Leupy 2.5-8 with dots and M1s

Cans are unethical and make your bullets bounce off.

My late 90s Winchester sharpshooter in 7 STW is my go to. It was pretty much built by HS precision in SD. Sports a 5-25x50 Zeis on it these days.

Savage Axis 2 in 243 with Nightforce ATACR 7-35x56mm and N.F. rings with a Thunder Beast Ultra Series suppressor shooting Speer 90 gr H.P.

I have knocked down deer clear out to 108 yds with this set up. You don't need no stinking Kimber.

In their price range either that or the Seekins are top of the heap. I don't recall if the 2020 has a user-swappable bbl but I know the newest version of the Seekins is a VERY simple swap, like about 2 steps more involved than removing and re-installing a Rem 870 shotgun bbl.

Grand Scheme, for roughly the same $$, I'm still buying a used Kimber and having it re-barreled with the proper factory profiled Lilja. Although, if someone is dead set on having a cut rifled vs. button rifled bbl, I recently heard someone was able to sweet-talk Brux into producing a few Kimber Montana factory profile duplicates as well, though the wait was ~9Mo and Lilja is typically 1/3 of that.....

I remember one of those very rifles being delivered and placed into the old style premium cases we had @ Scheels in Forks in the mid-late 90's. It was pre ubiquitous LRF days and I LUSTED after that piece. Alas, that and a few others evaded the poor college student me in those days. That's one of those rifles that sort of sticks with me and I believe in the ~30yrs since I saw the 1st one, I've only ever seen 2 others actually for sale and neither followed me home, so, the back of my mind long-ago lust still lingers a bit.

Favorite is a Remington 700 .17cal Centerfire w/3.5x10x50 Leupold Vari-XIII. Use 25 or 30 grain Berger Moly boat tail hollow points. Seems like the second you touch the trigger you see the bullet hit and explode.

Have my late dad's, believe they called em spitfires. He must have shot too many fox back in the 80s with it, bolt needs work and nobody seems to know how to fix it. If anybody knows the Mike that used to have seaburgs in devils lake mall, do let me know. He packed up the shop middle of the night and still has my bolt I need back.

I've killed lots of deer with a Weatherby .30-06. Can't seem to find a reason to get a new rifle.

Remington 788 .243 with a not so exciting 3x9 scope. Three generations of my family have harvested critters with it. It’s not pretty but shoots very well and carries lots of stories with it.
