WTF!!!!!!! suppose they all want trophies even if they lose. A good team should be motivation to get better as a team not give up because you don't want to lose. Hats off to the young ladies for coming together as a team and kicking ass.

Freaking unbelievable, my 6th grade daughter plays on a basketball team, of which they played the all talent team, and lost 58 to 6. I was impressed with how good the other team was, and it was obvious that team had practiced hard, played together for a long time, and had some natural talent. I was happy for them. Our team knew going into the game it was going to be a tough one, and somewhat excepted the blow out just fine. Part of life is what that is.

Effing liberals ruin everything, thanks obama...haha

Weird story at the high school level, sounds like this is some sort of a rec league for kids that didn't make their HS team. Big deal if you get your butt kicked, go out and play ball and get some exercise.

I do think there is something to this at the elementary level, kids get recruited as 3rd, 4th graders or younger to load up a travel team and then go beat everybody by 50 - what's the point in that? Even a lot of the talented kids don't progress much because they're playing on a team that could sleepwalk and still beat most of their opponents and the kids on the leftovers teams decide at a young age to quit the sport because they weren't one of the chosen ones when they were 10 years old. Lots of value in letting kids play with less talented teammates - teaches lots of life skills, not to mention sport skills. Big part of declining participation in my and many others' opinions.

This is why I enjoy the dynamics of individual sports. When there's no one else to blame except for yourself, you find motivation rather quickly.

It's amazing what a group of parents can accomplish now. Stopping a team from competing because they are too talented. I wonder how that works in real life. Ahab, you catch too many big fish, you have to either fish with a snoopy pole and a micro hook or give it up. Juan, your insurance sales and shed smoking are too successful, you have to stop both.

Softball has different leagues based on all players of the team and their skill level why should basketball be any different? Years back I played softball on an E-F team and the St'As team would sandbag through league play and then go out and win tournaments. Its all about the trophy and bragging and when you think about it many horn hunters are the same.

What is needed here is some government over sight, and maybe 1000 more IRS employees to over see, and fine when necessary.

Ha, now if ND would follow suit and kick central or RR out of hockey, Carrington and the Demons out of wrestling. What a joke must be where Chewbacca lives

BHS just dominated Carrington in a dual last weekend. There's still some room between those two teams. No doubt, Carrington has looked good the last two years. In the early 2000's, Napoleon was a power house and actually competed at the Rotary as well. But those types of class B teams are few and far between. And a fun fact I found out from my brother, BHS hasn't taken lower than 3rd since the inception of their team back in the 1950's.

And back on track...Basketball sucks anyway.

I wonder what if wrestling communities would think about Apple Valley wrestling which could be considered recruiting. Sore losers

- - - Updated - - -

Bismark holds the record for the most continuous dual wins which at that time was the best wrestling team in the country even better than Apple Valley go ND

Apple Valley is definitely the measuring stick when it comes to Minnesota wrestling. Went to school at NDSU with a couple former AV wrestlers. Arrogant would too light of a term for those guys.
