It had been skirting by us to the north all day until about five minutes ago. At last drops are falling faster than I can count on the skylight. Hope this keeps up for a while. It looks like out west they got rain, so maybe the hunt is on.
It's definitely needed. I'm fairly shocked at how well the crops near my place are doing but the rain we have had must have been timed damn near perfect each time they were about to die. Hell a couple of the hay fields will likely get a third cutting when I and apparently the farmer never thought they would get two since he cycled them a touch early.
Even inch today 20 miles west of mandan and .80" on Saturday night. Combined total for all other rains since winter thaw prior to saturday at my house has been roughly .75".
Reports of .7-1.0 here on the border. Thundered for an hour and a half before it finally hit the ground about 4:30. We'll take anything we can get, every storm has missed us in this little town so far the last couple months.
