Saw this on the internet and decided to give it a try last night while packing for the weekend. Looks like it's going to work very nicely.
I like to use Johnny Ray mounts for my electronics, but sometimes when I'm going fast there can be a lot of vibration of my Lowrance unit making it difficult to focus on a particular spot on the map. Take a pool noodle or pipe insulation, cut it to size and stick it under the mounting plate. I wrapped a little hockey tape around the outside of mine. Seems to absorb all the vibration.
