Couldn't find the article, but most walleye that are caught and released will more than likely never be caught again.
I read that article. It reminded me of all of their articles that are not based on facts.

It's nice living in a state where a guy doesn't have to worry about slots. If I'm hungry I keep it, if I have fish in the freezer it goes back.

Tho I'd rather not keep anything under 14 and feel bad keeping anything over 24ish. Not to say that I haven't or don't tho:;:thumbsup

Dirtymike tells me that he's never seen you catch a fish over 7 3/4". Is this true?

I keep 14" to 23" and release those smaller and larger. On a slow day I'll even let that lone walleye go back to the lake at the end of the morning, if it was lipped when caught. No need to dirty up all the equipment for one fish.

I would never ever do that because it's illegal. ;) :::

I was letting my one loner go at the boat dock just earlier this summer, frickin bouncy wiggly bastage squirmed right out of my hands onto the concrete ramp and laid there flopping around until I climbed out of the boat and picked it up again in front of the small audience that I had now acquired and walked it back down to the ramp and tossed it back into the lake.

Then gave everyone a wave and said your welcome for my free show this fine afternoon, turned red in the face and yelled at my wife...haha

No fish may be returned to the water after being held on a stringer or confined by or in any type of holding structure, except in the case of approved live-release fishing tournaments and only with written permission from the Game and Fish director.

I got checked on a small river a couple years ago, had two 15" fish on the stringer, mentioned to the warden I would probably release them since they weren't totaling up to a decent stringer. He mentioned to me that he'd fine me if I did because it's illegal. RedFacedGuy said "Oh..." and kept them.

What I did later is a mystery.

Sawyer,
14-20 if I have the option. Have kept some bigger and smaller depending on the lake and what I'm catching. We eat fish several times a week, so I'm not ashamed to keep fish.

Here is an oxymoron; The NDGF writes an article stating that released fish rarely get re caught, then they turn around and tag fish hoping they get recaught down the road for their studies.

What would you like to see done? What sort of enslow slot would you place on our fisheries? Keep in mind you would then have to follow them too....

You know wags the hell with sustainability, lets just keep going out for a rip with no rules and everything will just work out right? Kinda like the deer hunting in ND. I mean why protect the top lake in the midwest with the heaviest fishing pressure?

Since we're talking about rules, I saw a young-ish gentleman shore fishing recently. Two lines in the water, and was fixing to cast out another. I mentioned to him, casual-like, that G and F frowns on such behavior. I was told "oh, that's alright, there's no bait on that first one". I mentioned, casual-like, that that likely won't make any difference to the authorities.

I believe I'm correct, right? I mean, I've been told to not even let more than two lines touch the water. That it's better to be safe, than sorry. I personally have no desire to raise the dander of any officer.
