A friend of mine makes these. Great hitch for towing heavy.

If your insurance agent see's that your rates are going up or canceled.

Ha Ha then there would be no farmers / ranchers or small construction outfits or a lot of others with no insurance. I see 3/4 and tonner pickups with 30-40K #+ loads behind them not to mention the 15K weight of the pickup and trailer themselves several times a week on the interstate.

my truck has a weight of 3520 front ax - and 2940 rear---thats loaded with gas and a couple suite cases and not sure if my fat ass was standing on scale or not. if you take your tires 4800 on the rear --- equalize the trailer --

Topper 200lbs
4 people -- 1/2 - 340lbs
gear gas - 500lbs (thats overstating) - 250lbs
hitch - 1000lbs

Thats a loaded --- and that hitch will be weighted to front -- but lets leave it as is --- your still under for those tires. Those tires for being a P have quite a load capacity more than mine.

- - - Updated - - -

on your door it will state what you can have on each ax -- you will be over on that before your over on those tires imo

Get some 10ply for the truck and break controller. Air bags would help. I used to pull a 32' tt with my 02 chevy 1500 with a 5.3. I only had 8 ply the first year and it sucked. The rear tires seamed like they would roll side to side when driving. I also had a 3/4 ton suspension in the back to keep the truck leveled. I would never go any larger than a 28' again with a 1500. The pickup just doesn't weigh enough to safety pull it. I kept my speed around 50 with that setup. Yes these new 1500 pickups can pull 9000lbs. But there breaks can't stop 9000lbs safety.

I have owned a couple chevy half tons with a 5.3L from that era and they are probably the WORST towing engine/tranny ever made. If you pull a loaded 30' travel trailer behind that, just go ahead and put a couple hundred dollars in a jar every time you go camping then you'll be able to pay for the new tranny when it goes out.

Downshifting garbage.

On the 7th day, God created a 3/4 ton pickup and fifth wheel hitches. I have seen some real doozies when people think that the 1/2 ton pickup is the best thin sliced bread. #1/2 tn pickup+bumper pull camper+boat=#camper destruction+wrecked boat. I wouldn't buy a used 1/2 tn pickup unless I knew the original owner.

I pull a 2016 Jayco Jayflight 28 foot travel trailer with a 2011 F-150 5.0. Also have the brake control module, weight distribution bars and sway control bar. It pulls pretty good and haven't had any issues so far. Would like to switch to the 3.5 ecoboost sooner or later.
