There any HVAC guys out there? Question: I have a mini split AC/heat pump in my shop. I was looking at using it to heat the shop because i was told that its more efficient then gas to a certain temp. Mine will go down to -5. The problem i am running into is I cant get the heat pump below 60 degrees and I dont want to heat my shop to 60. I was looking at 40 degrees. Does anyone know of a way to overide the 60 degree floor for the heatpump or am I stuck with the 60 degrees? Heat pump is pioneer diamante pro.

Use the gas when it gets cold. Cheaper to run than electric heat pump below zero degrees

I have one too, but have never used it to heat. The NG heater in the garage seems to cost almost nothing to keep it at 55-60.
My buddy installed it, as he is a HVAC business owner, I will ask him if there is a way and post if I find anything out.
