Sorry V, I know there is a Politics section but I think more people will read this if posted in the General discussion section.

So basically Morton county prosecutors are letting protesters that have evidence against them go and dismissing the cases. There is no reason on this earth that these scumbags should be charged with anything less than that FULL extent of the law.

People lets spread this around and share to as many people that you can,

Thanks

It is complete BS and it also gives the impression to protestors next time that it is OK to do the "peaceful" protesting again and get away with it. I think there are petitions going around to let a large number of charges on protestors go. I think a better idea is to send them all the clean up bill.

Yeah pretty sad. I guess at some point Morton Co. may just be overwhelmed with all the cases and find it easier and less expensive to drop them? Only reason I can see it. Each one of those morons should be given a massive fine at the least.

This is nothing less than a slap in the face to our LE officers and National Guard members that sacrificed time away from their family's to deal with these criminals.

I'm surprised they didn't reimburse their bond money.

Make me puke.

If nothing else, the protesters (not only the NODAPL ones, but all protesters..) learn that there's no reason to abide by the law.

First of all, don't follow the law, and probably nothing will happen.

IF.. something happens, just piss and moan about it long enough, and the charges get dropped.

Not only did they get away with criminal acts, they wrecked the environment, wasted a $hit-load of resources and time (not even to mention all the commodities that GOFUNDME wasted on them), spent tons of money policing and detaining and prosecuting them, and then they walk away.

Now they can snicker, and flip off the LEO's, because they KNOW nothing will happen.

I really wish people would just stop supporting these indian casinos.

And then some... only reason to stop at the casino would be to use the can..

I won't even go in there for that. The closest I will ever get to one is to take a shit on the front step.

Did you read the article or the comments? Its about a protester who drug her sick mother here so she could protest is getting let off. I get Standing rock isn't 100% responsible for the protest but they did very little to stop it. Them and prairie nights at least indirectly supported it. Why is it unfair to boycott them for bringing this shit to our state?

Have you been paying any attention for the last year, they have been dropping charges against rioters, I mean so called protestors, in my opinion terrorists. This is just another one added to the injustice in my opinion, if I had done stuff like this I would be in jail, no questions asked. As stated above they are just giving more reason and enhancing the ability for the terrorists to do more because there are no consciences for there actions and it will only be worse next time, and at this rate and injustices it will happen again sometime somewhere if not here. And yes the tribe did support this in ways you and I didn't see, but one of the biggest ways was the leader of the tribe breaking the law on the first confrontation and setting the example of what will and was expectable. If you believe burying you head in the dirt will make this go away please put it in further. dukgnfsn

Been that way up here for along time with the locals who break the law. Statements made by sheriff, do not have time to pursue and judge told me no place to put them. So it's always suspended sentence, time and monies. Let them go to do again as if that is the long term answer. Db
