I wouldn’t have been able to hold it together either.

My favorite renditions of the National Anthem are when they have a military-based group or individual musician or singer perform. It seems that they are very talented and keep it more traditional and on point.

Social media makes everyone a little to "snarky". She tried something different, it didn't work out, time to move on. Don't think there was any disrespect intended. She did issue an apology.

“I’ve always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem, and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA. I’m a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn’t strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best.”

But that's the problem because that's not a song that's hers to experiment with. I for one hate it when they even try to show their over whelming vocal talents by messing with the notes at the end and draging them out longer just to show off how good they are IE Christina Aguilera and the like.

At least it happened at an NBA all pro event and nobody really watches shit like that anyway, I have been boycotting the NBA all my life and dont think I missed a thing.

I'm with ya there. Something about Yankee games where there is usually military or a local police officer or firefighter. It's usually some big stereotype New Yorker that gets up there and belts it out. Almost always on point.
