They are in alfalfa and end up in fresh mowed hay. Let the hay dry before baling and they will move on.

They must be pretty potent to kill a horse , I'm guessing cattle would die just as easily . I'd be watching for them in pastures . I read where some people are haying and already feeding the new crop hay to the cows because pasture are lean.

Someone needs to ask the article's author what "Caddle-Smart" means in reference to horses. Or, an editor could actually edit, and then also explain to the reporter the difference between caddle and cattle.

"Caddle" means to confuse, annoy, or tease. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that nobody ever bred horses with any of those traits in mind.
